About Me

A place to breathe.

Hello! My name is Adrienne Couch. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have Bachelor’s degrees in Victim Studies, Criminal Justice and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology.

I provide individual counseling in a private practice setting and have previous experience in University Counseling and psychiatric hospital settings. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are seeking help to make changes or improvements in their lives, relationships and experiences, resolve issues and process emotionally traumatic events.  Some of the issues I work with are depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues and trauma/PTSD.  I also enjoy helping with stress-management, coping skills, self-growth and life transitions.

My goal is to use my knowledge and training, along with your individuality, to work together to develop goals, a treatment plan to reach your goals, and a safe place to take steps to achieve them.

I use a variety of approaches and concepts including mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, or EMDR. EMDR is used to process traumatic events.
